Does anyone else find it interesting or alarming that you can look up anyone's payment records on KPC's site? Are CS Records supposed to be public?

It doesn't seem quite right does it?  Actually anyone with almost any kind of court case can be found pretty easily.  Child support is no different.  The only things that have recently changed is that full SS# and DOB are not required on documents and they are supposed to be blacked out because anyone could look up your case and get quite a bit of personal info.  I'd definitely like to see records like this change to be more personal.

The KPC (Kansas Payment Center for Child Support Collection) site is password protected and only you can access your record with your password and only your x can access their account with their own password. The KPC site does not allow anyone else from the general public to view your case information.

Court Orders, judgments and case filings however are on public file with the Court system and are accessible to any licensed legal professional online through their service membership. Additionally, the general public can file an application at the Courthouse records office and instantly obtain access to any legal records as well as have physical copies made for a fee. That is one reason why I use a nickname here instead of my legal name.
