Well Guru, we agree then. The choice to be or not to be Pro Se (represent yourself) depends much upon the resources available to you, your best estimate as to whether or not you have a chance to get what you are after and how much of a gambler you are. Emphasis on the gamble.
Personally, I am more conservative and as expressed repeatedly here proceed cautiously. If something is important enough or me to appear in Court about it, I want to be sure the odds are in my favor to "prevail". While I do advocate for self representation, I think it is crucial to make sure the person considering such avenues understand the risks and odds against them. Plus, the potential consequence that the perception of the Court (Judge) can effect your case for years to come.
